It’s Murphy’s law that if something can go wrong, it will, and at the worst possible moment. You may be wondering, who is Murphy and what terrible thing happened to him that he has this outlook?

If you Google it, like I did, there are many variations on the subject.  Edward Murphy was born in 1918 and the eldest of five children. He attended West Point and commissioned into the Amy Air Corps. He was involved in the war against the Japanese in China and Burma and was a successful pilot and aerospace test engineer.

After the war, he worked as a research and development officer for the Air Force, working with the technological aspects of aircraft design. In this period of his life, he worked on experiments that eventually led to the creation and naming of his law, “If anything can go wrong, it will, and at the worst possible moment.”

It does not matter if you just bought a brand new home with a new roof, fancy appliances and good plumbing or if you have an older home that you have been taking care of over the years, you are bound to have a leaky pipe, missing shingles, or gutters full of debris.
